Manufacturer's Warranty and Liability
On behalf of the manufacturer UMC Poland Sp. z o.o, UMC (UK) LTD. guarantees that the product is not defective when sold. If the product becomes defective during the manufacturers guarantee period, we will exchange or repair the product, at our own discretion, free of charge.
Any claim must be supported by a proof of purchase (original sales receipt or invoice clearly showing the item). The date of purchase must be stated legibly, without deletions or changes. This warranty does not apply if the product type or serial number or date of its production has been altered, deleted, removed or is illegible.
Our warranty is 'Return to Base', this means the item will be collected by our nominated carrier, returned to us, repaired/exchanged, then returned back to yourself.
We will usually replace any defective part, however, if we believe we cannot offer a permanent repair of the faulty item, we may exchange it like for like. In the event that an exact like for like replacement is not available, we may exchange it for an item of equal or superior specification.
We understand that it is not always convenient for our customers to wait at home for the carrier company to collect and deliver to you, therefore, we can collect the item from your nominated address. This can be a home or work address. (Our collections are usually on a Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm - we are unable to offer collections or deliveries on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday).
In the event that we need to collect your item, it is imperative that you package it suitably to be transported on a carrier. The best way to do this is in the original box/packaging. On TV’s 32” and above, we can send out a suitable box free of charge.It is the responsibility of the customer/end user to ensure the item is suitably packaged in order that it cannot be damaged in transit. We are unable to entertain any claims for items damaged due to inadequate packaging.
The manufacturers guarantee does not apply when the product is used in a wrong, negligent, false, inadequate or abusive manner or in connection with any external devices causing damage to the product. In the event of malfunction or damage caused by incorrect fitting of accessories or wall mounts, these will not be covered under our guarantee. NEVER use screws longer than 10mm to attach a wall mount/fixture as these will cause irreparable damage to a television which is not covered under the manufacturers guarantee.
In no event shall UMC Poland Sp. z o.o, or UMC (UK) LTD be liable for any general, actual, direct, special, indirect or consequential damages or for any damages whatsoever resulting from the product, including but not limited to the loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the product.
Our guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights or any other rights under legislation governing the sale of consumer goods.
