Trainee TV Repair Engineer – Thame. OX9 3GQ

Important: This position is based in Thame, Oxfordshire. Please only apply if you are able to travel to/from this location.

The starting salary for this position is dependent on age and experience but typically:-

18 to 20 - £13,000 + £1,200 bonus – Total £14,200 PA
21 to 24 - £16,250 + £1,200 bonus – Total £17,450 PA
25+ - £17,250 + £1,200 bonus – Total £18,450 PA

The bonus scheme is payable as £100 per month for a good time keeping and attendance record - providing you attend work and are on time its guaranteed. Other benefits include the potential to earn an extra 2 days holiday per year + an extra £500 end of year time and attendance bonus for a 100% time and attendance record.

Day to Day tasks include:
Learn how to fault find & repair end users TV's.
Learning the helpline role in order to assist the helpline during busy periods.

During busy times, a TV Repair Engineer will assist the helpline on the phones with the following:
1st contact for customer calls
Take customer details and enter into database (Access and Excel)
Logging calls and reasons for calls in order to identify where improvements in products can be made
Assist with the technical queries
After fault analysis, you will arrange collections and redelivery of the repaired product back to the customer.

Keeping customers informed
Advising customers on the status of the repair by both phone and email.
Provide customers with details of the repair and date of return
Writing letters & emails to customers (a good standard of both written and verbal English is required)

Spare part orders
Taking customer orders for spare parts and packing ready for shipment.

Other duties such as Stocktaking - accurately count stocks as required & general cleaning duties.

Please note this role can be physically demanding.

The ideal candidate must have a good telephone manner, English speaking and have experience of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.

Accurate data entry is essential as is the requirement to read & write numbers/text accurately.

A detailed training/induction program will be provided at the start of employment with regular reviews thereafter.

Hours of Work

We operate a shift/rota system and typical hours of employment are Monday to Friday, either 8.30am to 5pm, 9.00am – 5.30pm or 9.30am – 6.00pm.

Occasional Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays maybe be required, however, the working week is 5 days and therefore you will receive a day off in lieu.

Warehouse Operative - Thame. OX9 3GQ

Booking in televisions when they arrive and then booking them out again once they have been repaired.
Following up on failed collections & deliveries with customers, retailers and couriers by telephone and email.
Accurately completing paperwork, collection & delivery notes.
Following up on status of deliveries and collections with end consumers and couriers.
Picking/Packing and preparing items to go out by post and couriers
Keeping the warehouse organised, clean and tidy.
Stocktaking - accurately count stocks as required
General cleaning duties.

This role is designed as an introduction to the company to experience the warehouse and many employees develop into the role of TV Repair Engineer which will include:
Repairing LED TVs by identifying faults and replacing the faulty parts.

Please note this role can be physically demanding.
